Canine Safe Harbor would like to present "April's Awesome Dogs", Jethro & Elli. Jethro is a young retriever/beagle mix, weighing 40 lbs. Both dogs came to us together as strays, so their past history is a mystery.Jethro has a beautiful, long, tri-colored coat and brown eyes that will melt your heart. When you look into Jethro's eyes, it is hard to look away . His expression seems to say please adopt me. He gets very excited when anyone comes to take him for a walk or out to play. He loves his walks on the wooded trails with his beagle nose glued to the ground. Jethro is very friendly to everyone who meets him and is such a sweet boy who longs for his forever home. He prefers to spend his one on one time with volunteers, just sitting in their laps hoping for one on one loving, while some volunteers enjoy teaching him new tricks and playing with his favorite toys.
Ellie sits patiently waiting her turn for walks and is very good on a leash. She loves the woods which is full of wildlife and good odors. Elli has a great personality and could easily complete a family environment. She is a good friend for children, energetic enough to keep a jogger company and mellow enough for a retired couple.
